By milling on farm, Green Circle Feeds reduces milling and haulage costs associated with transporting feed from off-site mills to the farms.

Mobile milling allows for the creation of bespoke rations tailored to the specific needs of each farm and its livestock. This customisation maximises the performance of the animals by ensuring they receive precisely the nutrients they require for optimal health and growth.
Unlike feed mills, which may have longer lead times for production and delivery, mobile milling allows for rapid adjustments to rations. This agility enables Green Circle Feeds to respond quickly to changes in livestock requirements or market conditions, ensuring that farmers can adapt their feeding strategies as needed.

The Tropper Mobile Mills have a capacity to produce up to 15ts of finished feed per hour on farm which allows for large volumes of feed to be produced efficiently, whilst meeting the demands of commercial livestock operations. Through meticulous calibration, servicing, and adherence to quality standards, Green Circle Feeds ensures that its feed products meet or exceed industry benchmarks for nutritional content and consistency.
Layers
Mobile milling enables Green Circle Feeds to produce a high-quality layers mash on farm. It is formulated with a combination of essential ingredients such as wheat, barley, soya, sunflower, limestone, soya oil, and minerals. The flexibility to adapt rations at short notice allows producers to tailor the feed to meet the specific requirements of their flock, whether it be adjusting nutrient levels or accommodating changes in production goals. By utilising Green Circle Feeds Mobile Mills, most producers have the ability to save approximately £30.00 per ton compared to purchasing from a feed mill.
Animal Feed
Pigs
Green Circle Feeds can provide minerals and vitamins to accompany producers own grains such as wheat, barley, soya, and soya oil. The Mobile Mills arrive on farm and produce the finished feed as and when required. Green Circle Feeds currently produces around 1500 tons of pig meal per week. We have developed tried and tested methods to ensure and support optimal pig health, growth and productivity.
Sheep
The capability of Green Circle Feeds to mill a variety of sheep feeds, from Ewes to Lambs, through its mobile milling represents a tailored solution for sheep producers. Coarse milling of sheep feeds facilitates better flowability of the feed and improves the digestibility once the feed is consumed by the sheep.
Beef Cattle
The flexibility of our Mobile Mills and the experience of our operators allow our beef customers to feed low-cost quality rations. These vary from high protein blends to rolled barley/molasses mixes.
Dairy Cows
With the price of raw materials and availability constantly changing it is important to be able to adapt rations quickly to reduce costs and maximise yields. We can make a complete blend on farm using molasses and minerals to suit a variety of dairy systems, or we can mill / roll cereals that can be added to mixer wagons.
